FAST FASHION: WHAT'S BEING DONE?

Sustainable fashion is rising rapidly, with more and more organizations focusing on raising awareness for a cleaner environment. Our fashion show, in particular, will be donating to three, non-profit organizations, including Fashion Revolution.

“We want to unite people and organisations to work together towards radically changing the way our clothes are sourced, produced and consumed, so that our clothing is made in a safe, clean and fair way.

We believe that collaborating across the whole value chain — from farmer to consumer — is the only way to transform the industry.

Our mission is to bring everyone together to make that happen.”

Fashion Revolution was born from the tragedy of the Rana Plaza collapse. They strongly believe that the entire fashion industry needs to undergo a radical paradigm shift to change the business model. Through positive protesting, Fashion Revolution celebrates sustainable fashion, while also scrutinising the industry’s lack of attention to its pressing issues. The global movement further works to expose the human abuse and toxic sludge dumped into the environment all from the supply chains in developing countries, To raise awareness on these issues, Fashion Revolution started a hashtag called #whomademyclothes. From April 23-29, they encourage millions of people to ask brands “who made my clothes” and demand transparency behind their clothing. This is just a step in changing the fashion industry to one of equal values.
